Dick Biondi, a legendary DJ who rose to prominence at WLS AM in Chicago and is still broadcasting there to this day, began his career in New York in 1960 before moving to the Windy City. In early-1963, Biondi became the first DJ in America to play the Beatles on the radio when he spun 'Please Please Me.' Biondi is a member of the Radio Hall of Fame and a member of the radio wing of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Biondi has a street named after him in Chicago and remains one of the top radio personalities in the city.
