What a thrill it is to welcome Micky Dolenz back to the FEST! Micky was one of the Monkees and their lead singer on hits like Last Train to Clarksville, I’m A Believer, and Pleasant Valley Sunday. The Monkees TV show began in 1966 as a loving parallel tribute to The Beatles. It turned out to be bigger than anyone expected and their albums sold millions. Micky wrote the Monkees song, Randy Scouse Git, which had a direct Beatles reference in it. Micky and the other Monkees met The Beatles and he hung out quite a bit with John Lennon and Harry Nilsson in the early 1970s. Micky is a great entertainer and storyteller and is excited about appearing in front of thousands of Beatles Fans. Micky will of course perform some of his Monkees hits with Liverpool.
