Kenneth Womack world-premiered his new book on George Martin, called Maximum Volume: The Life of Beatles Producer George Martin, The Early Years, 1926-1966, at the Chicago Fest last August. At the 2018 Chicago Fest, he’ll be premiering Sound Pictures, Volume 2! Ken is a literary critic and award-winning author who has written five books about the Beatles. His most recent before the George Martin book, New Critical Perspectives on The Beatles, explores the lives and works of the Beatles with new essays. Kenneth is the Dean of the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities and Social Sciences at at Monmouth University in New Jersey. I (Mark) had the opportunity to read through big sections of Sound Pictures, Volume 2 and the detail Ken goes into, during the recording sessions with George Martin is something all fans will crave, and appreciate his attention to detail.
