Thursday, June 26th Las Vegas. We arrived here yesterday and it was a cool 104°. We are ready for all of you joining us for our 2nd FEST here. With Donovan, Pattie Boyd, Billy J. Kramer, Spencer Davis, Mark Hudson, Liverpool and many other guests (some new surprises, too), it promises to be one of our best in our 34 years! There is still time to join us. Combo ticket price deadline is today, but individual tickets are available on line in advance or at the door, Sunday thru Tuesday, June 29-July 1. I saw Ringo at Radio City in Tuesday and he was in great form. I think his vocals are improving. The sold out audience seemed to think so! He has put out a limited Edition book of his Artwork, Painting is my Madness, which we will have at our show. Also there is a small number that Ringo signed. By special arrangement, we will have some at the show. If you are going to see him when he comes west in a few weeks, this edition will be all gone by then.
The Magical Mystery Bus Tour from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is all filled up. KLOS’ Chris Carter (Breakfast With The Beatles) will be on the bus entertaining. We will try to have one of our staff meet the bus at The Mirage upon arrival on Sunday.
Hope to see you there.

Hello,
Big Beatle fan!!!Have been to about six of your Beatlefests from the late 90’s to recently. I would like to mention that I’m so sick of Mark Hudson!!!The fifth Beatle in my book? George Martin, Brian, Pete, Stu, Mal, Neil could easily fit. In the Beatle family Mark Hudson is a 14th cousin, he is over used and toots his own horn way to much,it is not the Mark Hudson Fest. Jim Keltner, Vini Poncia, Earl Slick, members of the Elephants memory, members of Ringo’s All Star Band,Richard Perry would be much more interesting.
Thanks Todd
We will see you there! We are a vendor, and look forward to our first Beatles Fest
Hi Donovan,
How are things? I hope all is well with you & yours!
I remember when I met you in December,1975 back in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. USA (John Lennon was in town to, stopping on his way to the Bahamas.)
I was going into the local drink stop on the strip down the street from the Parrot & you were leaving. Out of the clear blue sky you handed me a 20 dollar American bill and said ” Your so skinny here get some vitamins ”
Well I bought food natural vitimins for me and lots of aother friends of the times. Thank you for that. From all of us! We love you and the message in your songs. Thank you for that “Love Gru” my Hippie Brother Mentor!
All The Best,
Mary-Anne

I’ve been going to the fests since ‘78 and have seen so many wonderful guests over the years, but this year in particular has been extra special for me with Pattie Boyd and Donovan coming to see us. Saturday night with Donovan was truly memorable! I could feel the whole audience being mesmerized listening to this man’s singing voice both in narration and song. It reminded me of how John Lennon’s speaking voice always sounded like he was singing his words. I am so happy to have been a part of this BEATLES fest. Thanks Mark & Carol for getting this years “special guests”.
Hi guys,
Really had a great time in Vegas for the Fest ! Highlights were the LIverpool band - those guys are good, and Mark Hudson singing Long Tall Sally in the Grande Finale. Lots of energy on stage with that guy around !
The host (don’t know his name) was annoying, though. Billy J. Kramer and Spencer Davis are washed up, I’m sorry to say, despite their effort to keep the show going.
The interviews with the Love /Cirque du Soleil dancers were really interesting.
Thanks to Mark Lapidos and the organizers !
John Drake
Great Fest again (my fourth, 2 Vegas, 2 Boston) I was only able to attend one day but it was great. Hopefully will be in NY next year.
See you next year!
