Neil Aspinall, the man who was probably the most trusted and loyal employee any company could ever have, died on March 23rd of Lung Cancer at the age of 66. He was schoolmates with Paul and George, became their roadie, and was with them every step of the way from 1961-2007, when he resigned at head of Apple. His accomplishments were many, with The Beatles Anthology and The Beatles 1 being at the top of the list. So many in the Beatles circle have died because of cigarettes, perhaps if any of you still smoke, it is a good time to throw them away and quit. It just isn’t worth it. Neil’s son, Roag Best (Pete’s half brother) has been to numerous FESTS over the past 4 years as the second Drummer in Pete’s band. Our condolences go out to his entire family.
