Thirty years ago, The Rutles invaded America. Now to celebrate the fact that they went back, Eric Idle and Lorne Michaels modestly present RUTLEMANIA, the semi-spectacular TRIBUTE CONCERT starring The Fab Four as The Pre-Fab Four – Dirk, Nasty, Stig and Barry - the semi-legendary Rutles, whose legend will last a lunchtime. Tickets priced at $35.00 are available on the web at www.ticketweb.com and by phone at 866-468-3399.
The concert has been devised and directed by Eric Idle. The music and lyrics are by Neil Innes. RUTLEMANIA is produced by WestBeth Entertainment.
These performances are part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of The Rutles –which includes an event that takes place on Monday, March 17 at the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. On that night, the Mods & Rockers Film Festival is presenting two special screenings of “All You Need is Cash” (the 1978 film that started it all) - with Rutle rarities and Q&A with the Rutles. Don’t forget, Neil Innes is one of our Special Guests at our Chicago FEST in August. Click HERE for details.
