"Musical Memoir Show"
One of the people closest to Paul McCartney and the Beatles in the 1960s and thereafter. He was Paul McCartney's roommate 1963-1965 when Paul lived in the same London house as Peter and his sister Jane Asher (Paul's girlfriend 1963-1968). As one half of the singing duo Peter & Gordon, they had ten worldwide Top Ten hits between 1964 and1967 - four of the songs written specially for them by Paul McCartney. Between 1968 and 1970 he ran the Beatles' music publishing company - discovering and producing James Taylor. Since 1970, he has been one of the world's leading artist managers and record producers. (Artists produced include James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Cher, Diana Ross, 10,000 Maniacs, Lyle Lovett, Graham Nash, Stevie Nicks, Boz Scaggs, Keith Richards, Jackson Browne and Ringo Starr). Peter and his band will be performing his 'A Musical Memoir of the 60s And Beyond' show in two parts, first half on Saturday and the second half on Sunday. As a long time LA resident, we are delighted that Peter is a part of this 50th Anniversary Beatles Celebration year's 3rd stop.

In Concert & Meditation Talk
It is a great honour to welcome back the legendary Donovan to our stage for this historic anniversary. After meeting the Beatles in 1965, he rapidly became part of their inner circle - regarded as a close friend and musical peer - scoring 14 major worldwide chart hits. In 1968, he accompanied the Beatles on their spiritual quest to India. While there he shared his guitar technique with John, Paul and George *as manifested in such Beatles recordings later that year as "Dear Prudence", " Mother Nature's Son" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". In April 2009, he reunited with Paul & Ringo at a TM fundraiser in NYC. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, Donovan continues to be a potent musical force - creating fresh music such as his brand-new album "Shadows Of Blue," recorded in Nashville. Donovan will be joining us all weekend, for a talk "Meditation and the White Album", performing in concert on Saturday afternoon, and joining Liverpool on stage for more musical highlights on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Some of his classics you can expect to hear are "Mellow Yellow", "Sunshine Superman", "Hurdy Gurdy Man", and "Atlantis". Photo Credit: Michael Collopy. "Good Ol' Freda" Film
"Good Ol' Freda" held its public premiere at the Chicago FEST this August, and garnered a long standing ovation and emotional Q & A session. In 1962, when she was just 17, Freda Kelly was hired by Brian Epstein to be the Beatles' secretary, and continued to work for the boys for the next 10 years. She became like family to the Beatles families. We are very honored to bring Freda to New York so we can view it all together now. It will be shown in the Empire Ballroom early Saturday afternoon and Freda will be introducing the film. We also plan an encore showing in the Video Room on Sunday.

They are simply amazing and highlights of every FEST include the last hour of the concert when they bring up all the musical legends of their time to perform their hits live on our stage. Just to name some artists Liverpool has played with (who aren't guests this year) - Harry Nilsson, Billy Preston, 6 Wings Members, The Quarrymen, Neil Innes, Joey Molland, Tony Sheridan, Howie Casey, Gordon Waller, Gerry Marsden, Doris Troy, Alan Parsons, Gary Wright, Ronnie Spector, Greg Hawkes, Earl Slick, Brett Hudson, Chris Montez, Klaus Voormann, Micky Dolenz, Tom Scott, Jim Horn, Norman Hurricane Smith, Peter Noone, Chas Newby, Greg Kihn, 3 stars from "Across The Universe" and more. Irene FeldmanFace Behind Iconic Rock Image "Elvis is Dead. Long Live the Beatles"
Face Behind Iconic Rock Image "Elvis is Dead. Long Live the Beatles"
One of the most iconic images to come out of the historic weekend in February 1964 when the Beatles first took over America was of a 13-year-old schoolgirl in the front row of thousands of screaming fans outside the Plaza Hotel where the Beatles were staying. Conveying the mood that had spread like wildfire across America in the preceding five weeks that the era of Elvis Presley was well and truly over and had been supplanted by the newcomers from England, she held up a hand-scribbled sign "Elvis is dead. Long live the Beatles!" Over the past five decades, the image of the teenage girl holding that sign found its way into movies, TV shows, and books. It has become visual shorthand for a crucial turning point in American popular culture. Now a vibrantly young grandmother at age 62 - but still a Beatles lover, Feldman will recount her vivid memories in the frontlines of the wild weekend when the Beatles first conquered America.

Playing the Cavern
Francisco Fernandez careened across the country, festival to festival, and just landed in New York after playing over a thousand shows back in the San Francisco bay area. His all-encompassing rock n' roll is infectious, roaring out for change. Melodies ease anew from his fingertips the second he touches his guitar. Rhymes flow like honey, crooning over love lost and lit. His songs transform with each rendition he plays; they are fluid, never sounding the same twice. Put any band behind him, the Ferocity sparks. Whether the Few are drawing in hundreds of fans organically on amplified street sidewalks and parks, or opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe Cocker, ZZ Top, Billy Idol, Steve Miller, Jesus and the Mary Chains, and Cindy Lauper on her Memphis Blues tour, the show is electrifying. Former Ed Sullivan Executive
In February 1964, Vince Calandra was a 29 year-old production executive working for the Ed Sullivan Show. As the youngest member of the production crew, he was delegated to look after the Beatles during their time at the Ed Sullivan Theatre and he spent extensive time with the group. On the day before their live U.S. TV debut in front of a record-breaking 73 million Americans, the Beatles were required for extensive camera rehearsals. George Harrison was ill with the flu that day, and Sullivan chose Calandra to be Harrison's stand-in for the rehearsals, making him a Beatle-for-the-day! Sullivan even crowned Calandra with a Beatles wig for his stint! In August 1965, Calandra was Associate Producer for the TV production of the Beatles' ground-breaking Shea Stadium concert that was filmed by Ed Sullivan's production company.
